In celebration of World Water Week, learn how our Access to Safe Water program is changing and empowering communities across Pakistan
Access to safe water can birth civilizations, change lives, and create healthier communities.
This World Water Week, as we celebrate our successes and reaffirm our commitments to protect and conserve water in the ecosystems we operate in, we share the inspiring story of Sami, a child from district Okara in Punjab, Pakistan whose life and community was transformed through the Access to Safe Water program. Powered by the PepsiCo Foundation in partnership with WaterAid, the program has transformed 240,000+ lives and counting in the rural and urban areas of Pakistan. Water filtration plants have been rehabilitated and constructed in communities in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Okara with a community empowerment model that guarantees long-term success of this essential endeavor.
Sami’s story is one of the 80 million that showcase the positive impact PepsiCo’s global efforts for safe water access has achieved, enhancing quality of life in the communities we serve.
